Description

In my late teens, I noticed that eating potato chips caused me to break out in pimples, mainly on my forehead and sometimes on my chin—the more potato chips I ate, the more and worse the pimples were in the days that followed. For this reason, I ate potato chips less frequently and in smaller quantities from then on, so I largely forgot about the connection.

When I finally did eat potato chips as an adult and got a few pimples as a result, I didn't really mind because they went away after a few days.

About three years ago, our children ate potato chips for the first time and discovered their enthusiasm for them. From now on, it became more and more common for us to have potato chips during a game afternoon or movie night, so that my pimples have now become more frequent again and I remembered the connection I had observed before.

Since we had recently launched the practical course “Resolving Allergies” and I had already gained a lot of practical experience with resolving splints, I was very happy about the pimples, as they offered a new opportunity for my own experimentation.

Search for the cause
First, I thought a lot and for a long time about possible causal situations: The sebaceous glands of the old mesodermal corium are affected, which react to an attack or defilement conflict.
So there must have been a situation—probably during puberty—in which I felt attacked or defiled in my face and during which I was most likely eating chips (or they were prominently present in some other form).
Of course, there were always playful, teasing insults from my classmates, but I couldn't think of any really significant situations.

I also remembered a movie where a teenager was bullied by others and held upside down in a filthy toilet, which shocked me, gave me nightmares, and disgusted me—but I can't remember where I saw this movie or whether I was eating potato chips while watching it. It would be extremely fitting, though.

Resolution
So I tried another “blind solution,” i.e., becoming aware without knowing the exact cause. While consciously eating potato chips, I realized what the differences were and how a situation like that, which must have been the cause, could no longer occur here and now.

The first time, I experienced symptoms, but not during the second experiment. Now I didn't know for sure whether it only applied to certain types of potato chips or whether other circumstances had to be present, since I didn't get pimples every time I ate potato chips – but almost every time.
In the period following the first dissolution experiments, the symptom still occurred from time to time, but less frequently and less severely. Another experiment passed, where I deliberately ate a whole bag on my own (without feeling guilty, because it was for a good cause 😉 ) and talked to my subconscious in the meantime.

Afterwards, I thought it had been resolved and was surprised that a few weeks later, a pimple suddenly reappeared after eating potato chips.

As a result, I experimented more intensively with EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and also worked on the issue with it. But even after that, it still occurred very occasionally—but again, much less frequently.

Over the next few months, during which I ate a small bowl of potato chips every 1-2 weeks, I repeated the awareness exercises casually, but didn't pay any further conscious attention to them.

And now, a year later, I've noticed that I haven't reacted at all over the last year and that the reactions have finally stopped altogether, even though I no longer thought about it when eating potato chips.

Interpretation
I was fascinated to see that in this case, the awareness exercises had to be repeated over a long period of time in order to dissolve the pattern and convince the subconscious that eating potato chips would no longer trigger attacks or contamination. In contrast, my dust mite allergy with allergic asthma was dissolved from one moment to the next.
I suppose it was because it really was only a very minor symptom and I had few ideas about what plausible causal situations might have been – so it took significantly more perseverance and time to convince the subconscious. Nevertheless, it was ultimately successful!

Final test
After writing the report last week, I wanted to do a final test before publishing it: Over the weekend, we had our 5BN study group, which was very well attended and many participants contributed potato chips. So I took the opportunity to do my final test and ate a lot of all varieties.
The result over the next few days: No reaction at all :-).

Note: Have you also had exciting experiences with the 5BL? If so, it would be great if you could send us an anonymized report so that we can publish it in the archive and everyone can benefit from your experiences. Thank you very much!
